WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WRDW) -- An Aiken County man pleads guilty to murder and is sentenced to 38 years in prison.

Todd Brown is convicted of killing Lacey Parker,32, in 2014. Investigators say Brown kicked in the door to a home on Pine Street in Warrenville and started fighting with the victim. He then shot Parker. She was found in the yard and taken to GRU where she died.

WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WRDW) - The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said a man has been arrested and charged with murder for a morning shooting.

Deputies say Todd Brown is charged with murder, burglary and having a weapon during a crime. The Aiken County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 32-year-old Lacey Parker of Warrenville.

Investigators were called to the scene at 548 Pine Street around 7:30 Wednesday morning. The Sheriff's Office says Brown kicked in the door, started fighting with the victim, and shot her. They said Parker was found in the yard and taken to GRU where she died.

Deputies confirmed Brown is the victim's ex-boyfriend.

Investigators said the suspect took off before they got on scene. However, he was arrested after a search using the Bloodhound Team.

An autopsy on Parker's body is scheduled for Thursday morning in Newberry, S.C.
