There's good news today for Daniel Field.
The airport will receive a grant from the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration for more than $100,000.
Daniel Field plays a valuable role in providing fast and convenient access for air ambulance and medical transport aircraft.
According to the Department of Transportation, the grant will help fund road improvement for public access to and from the airport.
It will also help install new fencing around the perimeter of the airport and make required repairs to the airport's runway.
