Augusta is honoring a longtime Georgia state lawmaker in a road dedication.
Tuesday, a ceremony will be held along River Watch Parkway to dedicate the road to Jack Connell.
Connell was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1969 to 2002.
He's credited with bringing growth to the city and to the medical community.
River Watch Parkway will keep its name, but signs will be put up at its beginning and ending points dedicating it to Connell and his service to Augusta.
