In Augusta, the missing state prisoner who disappeared Thursday night is back behind bars.
Darrell Crowder was working a shift at Schlotzsky’s on a work release from Augusta’s Transitional Center when he was reported missing.
Crowder has been serving time in Georgia for more than 20 years for many convictions.
The transitional center says he came back on his own after deputies were alerted Friday morning.
