Hunting with bait in Georgia?

A big change could be taking aim at Georgia’s hunting rulebook.

But first, there may be some heated debate in the state legislature.

A proposal before the House of Representatives would draw a line across the state from Burke County all the way to Lagrange in west Georgia.

Hunters south of the line would be allowed to use bait to lure in their prey.

That would change the current law, which requires any such feeders to be two hundred yards away from the hunters.

The bill was hotly contested in the House Rules Committee.
