COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford will sign into law a measure that sets aside money to keep the state's school buses fueled.
Sanford spokesman Joel Sawyer says the governor will sign the bill Wednesday. It sets aside $19 million for school bus fuel and $3 million for running the state's elections in November.
When the state budget was being approved, Sanford had complained legislators left the Education Department with an unconstitutional budget deficit. The legislation for the bus fuel money passed last week during a one-day Statehouse wrap-up session.
