LEESBURG, Ga. (AP) -- A south Georgia teenager is charged with child cruelty after an online video showed a young man launching a baby several feet across a room.

The video posted on YouTube shows the teenage boy putting a baby on one side of a large, inflatable pillow on the floor.

The boy then jumps on the pillow and the baby flies several feet across the room before landing on the floor and crying.

The 16-year-old Lee County boy was arrested Tuesday after a school teacher saw the video and called the sheriff's office. The boy's name was not released because of his age.

The boy has been charged with a felony count of cruelty to children as well as a misdemeanor count of the same charge.

The video has since been removed from YouTube.

Excuse me? What is wrong with a 16-year old babysitting? I was babysitting when I was 13. It's not an age thing, nor is it the fault of the parents. Unless you count the BOY's parents

This is so sickening! This teen obviously has issues... but he was 16 years old. Some parents let 13 year olds babysit their young kids, so all the people here saying the parents should be held accountable... I just don't agree. (Personally, I wouldn't leave my children with kids this young... but some do) So, unless the parents KNEW this boy was capable of doing any harm.... I don't think blame should be placed on them. Just my opinion.

I can not beleive people these days. People have kids and don't want 2 take care of them. Why would u leave ur infant with someone this age in the first place??? I agree, they should make an example of him!! And the parents.

Where in the heck were the adults in charge of taking care of this infant? I am horrified by this teen's actions. Georgia, feel free to make an example of this kid. Anyone who cares so little about another life (especially of one who can't possibly defend itself) needs to be locked up for a very long time.

How about putting him on a large inflatable pillow across a pool of sharks and seeing if he crys when he lands. My question is: Where the hell was the parents of the baby when this happened ?? They should be held somewhat accountable as well.
