AUGUSTA-- It's a dirty job, but one company wants to do it for you. We're talking pet waste removal. If you've ever wanted to take a pass on picking up your puppy's poo, you're not alone.

And now there's one here in Augusta.

It's not a job for everyone, which is exactly why Dale Roberts and his family are doing it.

"We're pet waste removal. We go to people's houses and pick up their pet's waste," he said.

They're called Doggie Biz Pet Waste Removal. It's a business based on your dog doing its business and up until now, it wasn't something that existed here in the Augusta area.

"It's like mowing a lawn. You go back and forth and if you see waste, you pick it up," he said.

Armed with a rake and a 13 gallon bucket, Dale and his family will scour your yard picking up poo.

It may look like poo to you, but it smells like money to them.

"I don't mind the smell. It's more trying to get this going and getting our name out there," he said.

It may be new here, but it's a type of business that's thriving in other cities. Just Google pet waste removal and a long list of sites will pop up from cities like Columbus, Ohio and Charlottesville, Virginia. And that's just how Dale got the idea.

"We thought we'd give it a try," he said.

Doggie Biz is just getting started, but judging by how many people don't want to do their duty when their pet's doody is calling, it's a business that just may make it.

"People love their animals and will do anything for them. But when it comes to doing that, they don't want to do that," he said.
