A couple from Prosperity, South Carolina traveled to Monetta this morning to buy pecans from Hartley Enterprises. The wife was standing in the door directing her husband as he drove. He accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, killing her. The sheriff's office and Hghway patrol responded. No charges will be filed. This was ruled accidental. The woman was 70 years old.
