AIKEN, S.C. -- Last week the Aiken City Council approved the first reading of their proposed smoking ban. But the second reading will not be on the meeting agenda for tonight, June 23rd.

The second reading for the proposed ordinance will be on July 14th. A councilman is hoping the County of Aiken and North Augusta move forward with changes and their proposals for a smoking ban.

Its about time that Aiken & North Augusta addressed the issue of non smoking in public places. The worse places to go into & come out like cigerette smoke is the Waffle & Huddle house's!.
