Saving money on gas these days is a true challenge. But a little device many of you have can help you find the cheapest price around, your cell phone.

There are a number of different internet sites that will help you find the cheapest gas in the area. But you're not always at home when you need to look for gas.

That's where your cell phone can come in handy.

With gas prices hovering near 4 bucks a gallon, everyone is looking for a few ways to save.

The most obvious one is finding gas that doesn't cost as much, a strategy that leads many folks across the river to North Augusta.

But maybe that's doesn't work for you or what about when you're out of town. Where do you turn to then?

There's several websites out there like http://www.gasbuddy.com, the gas price section on http://www.mapquest.com or even http://www.wrdw.com/gasguage that will list out the cheapest gas around.

These sites put give you the prices and locations of gas stations in the area. But if you're traveling, you may not have a computer and an internet connection around.

That's where you cell phone comes in. Several cell phone companies like AT&T and Verizon have fuel finder options on their phones, that way you can find what you need wherever you area. Just plug in your location and the results will come up. You can even get directions to where you need to go.

"With gas prices they way they are, you want to find the cheapest gas. Especially if I'm driving down the highway. Just punch it in and go the 3 exits or so suggested and there is gonna be cheaper gas." said AT&T's John Kane.

That way you don't have to waste your fuel trying to find a cheaper option.
