AUGUSTA, Ga -- Investigators say they need the public's help to stop a man before he attacks another woman, he's attacked three and each one is more violent, the third woman was almost killed.

She's in the hospital tonight recovering. Investigators say she nearly died after being sexually assualted and mutilated with a razor and she's not the only victim.

Three women, three violent attacks, and investigators say it's all connected with the man behind the wheel of this truck.

"I don't know how much move violent he could get without killing someone." says Lt. Scott Peebles.

His M.O. is the same. He picks up a woman walking alone on a street at night and offers them a ride. Then, he drives them to a remote location and attacks.

Investigators say the first two victims were brought here to the end of Goodrich Street Extension. The first victim was physically assualted and then escaped. The second victim, three days later, was sexually assaulted at knifepoint and then made her escape. Investigators say the third victim was attacked at a different location, the suspect kept the same M.O. but got much more violent.

Investigators say after commiting aggravated sodomy on the third woman behind a building off of Mike Padgett Highway, he cut her genitals with a razor and left her lying in a pool of blood.

"She was cut pretty good, she lost a lot of blood, had she not been found by the security guard, she probably would have lost her life." adds Lt. Peebles.

Each time investigators say he's been in an early 1990's model Chevy S-10 pickup that's two-toned, black on the top and grey on the bottom.

"The truck description is key. The truck is going to have evidence in it and it's crucial at this point to gather that." adds Lt. Peebles.

And it could lead them to this attacker before another woman is hurt. "We don't believe this is someone who is going to just stop waht he is doing. Whether they think it's a Christian family guy or not, we'd like them to give us a call. It could be anybody."

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties about five-foot-eleven and 160 to 200 pounds. He has very short blonde to light brown hair and has a tattoo on one of his arms.
