2 teens suspected of stealing 6 cars in Richmond County

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old have been arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office after six cars were stolen after a three-day period.

Christopher Marlow Bonner, 17, and an unnamed 16-year-old are accused of stealing the cars between July 19 to July 22, the Sheriff's Office said. They targeted 1995 and 1996 model Honda Accords throughout Richmond County.

As of Thursday, the Sheriff's Office said five of the six stolen Honda Accords have been located and turned over the rightful owners.

Bonnerwas booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center on six separate felony counts of theft by taking (motor vehicle) while the 16-year-old is being detained at the Augusta Regional Youth Detention Center (YDC) on the same charges.
