2 arrested in metal theft at Hephzibah home

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two men were arrested on Wednesday after allegedly stealing metal from a home on Pine Ridge Drive.

Antuawn Khadafy Hobbs and Justin Lee Alderidge are accused of breaking into a home in the Cedar Ridge Farms subdivision and taking copper wire and pipes, causing $20,000 in damage to the walls, ceiling and attic.

Investigators say they found Hobbs and Alderidge with a duffel bag filled with copper wire, bolt cutters and wire clippers at a recycling center.

Hobbs and Alderidge are facing first-degree burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
