AUGUSTA, Ga.---Richmond County investigators are looking into whether three attacks on women over the past few weeks were committed by the same man.
They are worried because the attacks are getting more violent.
All of the women were walking and when he asked if they needed a ride, they said yes.
In the first attack, he tried to sexually assault the victim, but she was able to get away. However, he punched her in the mouth.
He was able to sexually assault the other two women. He had a knife in one attack and a razor in another. In the last instance, he cut the victim with the razor, and she was found bleeding very badly.
One of the attacks happened off Mike Padgett Highway and two took place near the Augusta Canal, near Goodrich Street Extension.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, 5'11", 160-200 pounds. He has close cut hair, blond to light brown, and a small tattoo on an arm.
All the victims said the man was driving a Chesy S-10 pickup truck, although the color description fo the truck varied somewhat.
