TOCCOA, Ga. (AP) -- A grand jury in northeast Georgia has indicted two people on hundreds of counts of sexual exploitation of children.
The Stephens County grand jury indicted William Lowell Atkins, 45, and his wife, Anita Dale Atkins, 38, of Martin, Ga., on 512 counts.
The indictment filed Tuesday accuses the two of possessing digital images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The alleged crimes were said to have occurred on June 11, 2004, in Stephens County.
Chief Assistant District Attorney Eddie Staples of the Mountain
Judicial circuit said the images were primarily females, ages 4-16.
