Augusta, GA--

Prison officials in Georgia and South Carolina are preparing for executions this week.

The Georgia Pardons and Parole Board turned down a commutation request Monday from Curtis Osborne. He's on death row for killing a couple in 1990. Osborne's execution is set for Wednesday night at the state prison in Jackson.

South Carolina is preparing to execute David Mark Hill Friday evening.
He was convicted of the killings of three Department of Social Services workers in 1996 at the North Augusta DSS office on East Martintown Road. Hill has waived his appeals.
