Augusta Firefighters to Get Higher Raise
Richmond County firefighters went to Tuesday's budget meeting to fight for a higher raise. They were supposed to get a 4% raise next year while Richmond County deputies were going to get 8%. Firefighters presented a petition to the commission for a higher raise and it was accepted. Richmond County firefighters will be getting an 8% raise in 2006.
