AUGUSTA, Ga.---Coliseum Authority chairman Keith Brown has sent in a letter of resignation.
He had canceled today's meeting after heated words and flaring tempers between Richard Isdell and Willie Law Friday (May 23).
Despite the cancellation, half the Coliseum Authority showed up anyway. They recommended that Brown resign, saying the by-laws state he had no right to cancel the meeting.
"As far me overstepping my bounds, I don't think it's anywhere written that says I don't have that authority to cancel a meeting. Not cancel, but reschedule," Brown exclusively told News 12. "If I've done something wrong, I apologize to the board members and to anyone who was inconvenienced."
A letter sent to News 12 lists Richard Isdell as the new chair of the Authority. The meeting will resume this Thursday (May 29).
