CHESTERFIELD, S.C. (AP) -- Chesterfield County deputies say two
friends have died after their small boat capsized while they were
fishing on a private pond.

Authorities say 74-year-old William Gardner and 68-year-old Dick
Dixon drowned.

Deputies say Dixon's son noticed the men's boat had overturned
Wednesday morning and called authorities.

Deputies say an officer found Gardner a few minutes later, but
he had already died. Divers found Dixon's body several hours later.

The families of the men say the friends loved to go fishing
together.
