AUGUSTA, Ga.---A Richmond County Superior Court jury Thursday convicted Donald "Do Ball" Gamble of murder and using a gun during the crime.

He faces a mandatory life prison sentence, plus five years for the gun conviction.

The jury decided Gamble shot and killed Quamaine Rickman last year near downtown as Rickman prepared for a newspaper route.

Gamble ran to Florida, but he was caught there and returned to Augusta for trial.
