The Augusta Red Cross late Monday afternoon closed its shelter at a
Louisville church. If storm victims need assistance, they can contact the Augusta Chapter office at 706 724-8481.

Also, Governor Sonny Perdue Monday added Jenkins and Emanuel Counties to the list of areas under a State of Emergency. State assistance is available to those areas. This is in addition to the areas named in an earlier disaster declaration.
