Aiken County Pastor Accused Of Fondling Girl

An Aiken County pastor has been arrested for fondling a child in his church. News 12 is here to explain what happened.

The pastor of Remnant Ministries calls himself Apostle Brooks Williamson. He’s accused of fondling a girl with anointing oil.

Investigators say a girl under the age of 16 was fondled inside Remnant Ministries on Edgefield Road in North Augusta. And police say the pastor of the church, Apostle Brooks Williamson, molested her.

According to the incident report obtained by News 12, Williamson told the girl he was going to ‘anoint her.” The report says Williamson took the girl into a church office and told her to take off her clothes and turn around. The report continues, Williamson poured oil on his hands and rubbed the girl’s body including her “butt, breasts and between her legs.” The girl said she did not know what to do so she told her mom about this when she got in the car.

Williamson was arrested on September 28 and freed on bond.

It’s important to note, the mother of the victim did not report this until more than a month after her daughter told her about it. The mother told police she did not know what to do.

Apostle Williamson is still listed as the church pastor on Remnant Ministries’ website and sign. News 12 spoke with the senior decon of the church and he wasn’t even aware Williamson was arrested, nor did he know why he was in trouble. But the senior decon said Williamson was not preaching at the church right now. News 12 contacted Williamson at his home and he had no comment.
