WALHALLA, S.C. (AP) -- The Oconee County coroner says a two-month
old Walhalla boy has died when his mother fell asleep while the
child was nursing.
Coroner Karl Addis told the Anderson Independent-Mail that
Charles Kason Linart was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon after
his mother ran to a neighbor for help.
Addis says the boy died of asphyxiation. He says the death was
classified as an accident because of unsafe sleeping conditions.
The baby was the first child of 22-year-old Stacey Singleton and
23-year-old Caleb Linart.
Addis says the child was dead when emergency medical responders
arrived.

May God be with this mother during her time of grieving. This was truly an accident and I am sure the mother will need a lot of prayer to get over this.
