NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- North Augusta Public Safety is investigating an accident involving an 18-wheeler on Laurel Lake Drive outside a weigh station.
North Augusta dispatch says officers responded around 2:15 a.m. to a call about a tractor-trailer hitting a crane truck. North Augusta Public Safety says the driver of the tractor trailer was injured and taken to the hospital. No word yet on the extent of those injuries.
North Augusta officials say no fuel was spilled, but some hydraulic fluid leaked from the crane truck. That fluid has now been cleaned up.
Authorities shut down Laurel Lake Dr. at 2:30 a.m., but reopened the road at 6:45 am.
