AUGUSTA, GA--You'll soon be seeing new street sign in Augusta.
Augusta is giving little Anthony DeJuan a special honor. DeJuan was found head first and motionless in a bucket of mop water at his day care.
Now the city will name a street after him. Lincolnton Parkway, that's in the south part of Augusta, will soon be Anthony DeJuan Parkway. Augusta Commissioners made that decision in an 8-2 vote at this week's commission meeting.
Juan's day care did not have insurance. His mother, Jackie Boatwright, fight brought about a new law. Juan's Law now recommends day care providers carry liability insurance and requires providers to notify parents about the insurance the day care carries.
Juan's story is also set to go to the big screen.
