Columbia Cty., GA--

A wreck involving a delivery truck and a Ford SUV led to four people being checked out at the hospital Thursday morning.

It happened at Wrightsboro and Joy Roads in the Pumpkin Center area.

Deputies told News 12 the SUV driver was taken her children from Goshen Elementary School in Augusta on a field trip to Canterbury Trails Equestrian Center in the Grovetown area. One child was also in a car seat.

Deputies say the SUV driver became lost and tried to turn. The truck was following her, and when the driver hit the brakes, they failed.
The truck flipped and landed on top the SUV.

All four in the SUV were able to get out. The two people in the van were not injured.
