AUGUSTA, Ga.---Augusta attorney James Randall "Randy" Hall will become a federal judge.
The U.S. Senate has confirmed President Bush's nomination of Hall.
He'll join the bench for the Southern District of Georgia, replacing Judge B. Avant Edenfield, who's now on senior status.
The District serves 43 counties in the eastern and southern parts of Georgia.
Hall, a Republican, is a former state senator from Augusta. In 2002 he defeated Sen. Charles Walker for the 22d district seat.
