CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- An Edgefield County man has been arrested in the Atlanta area on a wide range of sex crimes.
Nick Smith is charged with aggravated sexual battery, rape, incest, aggravated child molestation and sexual exploitation. He is being held in Cherokee County and has not been granted bond.
The victim is a child Smith had access to and would sometimes be left in his care.
Investigators got a search warrant and found computers and cameras inside his home.
Smith was arrested in Edgefield County back in July 2007 for a sexual assault charge. The victim in this incident was a young girl. The case never went to trial.
