SAVANNAH, Ga.---A 21-year old Savannah woman has been charged with murder after police say she drowned her three-month old son in a bathtub.

Police also say Virkisha Warren then drove to get help from the father with the baby's body in a trash bag.

The woman told police she woke up and found her baby not breathing.
She said she didn't have a phone, and started to drive the infant to the father's house several miles away. On the way, she saw him and drove to his home, where police were called.

An autopsy concluded the baby died from drowning, and the mother was then charged in the case. The father has not been charged in the case.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
