EVANS, Ga.---Evans Middle school students and Home Depot workers teamed up today to work on improving the school.

Evans Middle used to be on the lot where Home Depot is now.

The workers and students worked hand-in-hand all day, planting flowers, rebuilding the playground, putting up fencing, and helping landscape the area around the school.

"It's very important building our community and working with these students, showing them teamwork," said Team Depot captain Debra Medlin. "We touched a lot of these students. I mean, they worked with us all day, they've had a lot of fun and we've seen a lot of smiles."

This is just the beginning, and workers hope to do many more projects with the students.
