ATLANTA (AP) --Disaster recovery centers are now open in Georgia to help those affected by the March 14-16 storms.
The centers open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and then operate daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There are three in the CSRA area....Mount Moriah Campgrounds in
Matthews and Wrens MIddle School Gymnasium--both in Jefferson County. There's also one at the Burke County Recreation Department Gym in Waynesboro.
The DRCs are staffed with Federal Emergency Management Agency and state agency disaster recovery specialists who are ready to help survivors through the process of applying for disaster assistance.
