Aiken County After the Storm

AIKEN CTY, SC--Information from the Bath Water Works Wednesday indicated people in that area should continue to boil their water Wednesday, and possibly Thursday. Workers are continuing to test the water. The top of the water tower in Bath was blown off by Saturday's storms.

The Red Cross shelter at Midland Valley HIgh School closed as of Wednesday morning.

Another shelter, at Wrens Baptist Church in Jefferson County, Georgia will be open through 5p.m. Wednesday.

So far, the Augusta chapter of the Red Cross has given out financial aid totaling nearly $10,000. Volunteers from the Red Cross and Georgia Southern Baptist Relief have also prepared about 1,500 meals.
