AUGUSTA, Ga.---The six-person search committee for the Augusta Coliseum Authority voted unanimously Tuesday to hire a management company for the Civic Center Complex. That information comes from News 12 city government reporter Chris Thomas.

This is the latest step in plans to turn around the complex, which has been mired in personnel problems and a fractious board for many months.

Earlier this month, on a 5-4 vote, the board fired the manager, Robert
"Flash" Gordon.

Several years ago, the board contracted with management companies to attract events to the complex, but that idea ended.
