WASHINGTON, D.C.--The U.S. Supreme Court denied without comment Monday an appeal by former Augusta State Senator Charles Walker.
He was convicted in 2005 of conspiracy, mail fraud and tax evasion.
Walker is now serving a 10-year sentence at a Federal prison in Estill, South Carolina. He's not scheduled for release until 2014.
Walker rose to majority leader of the Georgia Senate when the Democrats were in power.
