AUGUSTA, Ga.---Richmond County deputies are still looking for leads in a car break-in that happened on Monday, March 10 at Fort Discovery.

Investigators say a woman parked her 2003 Ford Expedition in the parking garage at Fort Discovery at around 1:53 that afternoon. After she left the vehicle, deputies say a man opened the unlocked front door and took her purse, which contained a large amount of cash.

Security cameras from the adjacent parking lot captured pictures of a man investigators say stole the purse. They describe the surveillance pictures as showing a man in a striped shirt leaving the parking garage with something under his shirt, then crouching between two cars in the parking lot, and finally walking away, counting money.

The victim's purse was later found between the two cars deputies say the man crouched between.

Investigators need your help finding the man in the surveillance pictures. If you recognize him, call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1020.
