Deadly Traffic Accident:
A Belvedere man is dead this morning, after an accident that may have started as a street race. It happened at Greenland and Fairview Drives in Belvedere. The Aiken County Coroner says 26 year old, Jerry Kemp, was killed when a cadillac veered into his lane to avoid a person in the road, and hit his motorcycle head-on. But, we're told the pedestrian may have actually been on the look-out for the motorcycle that was racing on Fairview. The other driver was not injured. The coroner says Kemp had illegal drugs with him.
The Augusta Coliseum Authority has called another special meeting this morning. This time they'll be discussing what's next after firing Flash Gordon as General Manger last Friday. They're also trying to decide whether to hire another manager, or a management company. Hiring a manager could save them up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Stay tuned to News 12 for any decisions that may me made inside that meeting.
