AUGUSTA, Ga.---Former Augusta Commissioner Marion Williams apparently has his eyes set on a bigger seat.
Williams plans to announce Tuesday he's a candidate for State Senate District 22. That's a seat now held by Senator Ed Tarver, a Democrat from Augusta. Williams also plans to run as a Democrat.
The announcement is set for 12 noon at the Municipal Building in downtown Augusta.
Williams represented District Two on the Augusta Commission through
2007. He could not run again for that job due to term limits.
