WILKES COUNTY, Ga. -- One man is dead and another is in the hospital after an accident in Wilkes County on Thursday afternoon.
The two men were working to cut a tree on Church Street when the bucket truck tilted and flipped over.
When its boom hit the ground, it buckled and the two men were tossed across the road.
Mike Tanner, owner of Tanner's Tree Service, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man, Ben Combs, was taken to the hospital. He is said to be in fair condition, as of Friday afternoon.
