One person airlifted after Peach Orchard wreck

AUGUSTA, GA--Richmond County Deputies say one person had to be airlifted to a hospital Friday night after a crash on Peach Orchard Road.

Deputies on the scene say two cars were involved in the wreck and an 18-wheeler. The accident happened around 7:30 Friday night at the 4900 block of Peach Orchard Road.

Police had to direct south bound traffic at the intersection of Hephzibah McBean Road and Peach Orchard Road.

Richmond County Deputies say none of the injuries are life-threatening but one of the drivers was air-lifted from the scene.

The crash in under investigation and has been turned over to the Richmond County Traffic Division.
