Aiken, SC--

An Aiken man has been charged with two counts of disseminating child pornography.

Billy Hite, 35, of Newman Circle in Aiken, was being held in the county jail.

Aiken deputies say they worked with officers from Xenia and New Waterford, Ohio, who contacted them last month. They were working undercover on-line to track down suspected child pornographers.

Thursday local deputies served a search warrant on Hite's home and arrested him. They seized several computers, digital cameras, computer disks and videotpaes.

Deputies say the investigation showed Hite used America Online and Yahoo accounts. They also say he used computers at the Aiken Public Library and the University of South Carolina-Aiken to transmit pornographic pictures of children.

Hite now faces a fine and prison time if convicted.
