Two firefighters die in lumber mill blaze

SALISBURY, N.C.---Two firefighters died while battling a five-alarm fire in Salisbury, North Carolina, northeast of Charlotte.

One other firefighter was in a hospital Friday afternoon, and two more were treated and released. No names have been released.

The fire started at the Salisbury Millwork near an office area and spready quickly.

It was still burning Friday afternoon and every fire department in Rowan County, North Carolina was helping out.

The "Salisbury Post" newspaper said this was the fourth major fire at the same site in the past 69 years.
