Chapel Hill, NC--
Investigators say they have several leads but have not made an arrest in the shooting death of an Auburn University freshman from Marietta, Georgia.
Lauren Burk, 18, was found wounded several miles from campus Tuesday evening. She later died at a hospital. Her burning car was found later near a campus dormitory.
The local sheriff says other students on campus should not feel they are in danger.
Early Wednesday morning, the body of the student body president at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill was found in a neighborhood.
She was dead from several gunshot wounds in her head.
She's now been identified as Eve Carson, 22, from Athens, Georgia, a senior pre-med student.
Later her car was found abandoned in downtown Chapel Hill.
Police have not made any arrests in that case either.
