Aiken Co. investigators seize thousands of dollars worth of marijuana, meth

JACKSON, S.C. -- Investigators made three arrests and seized thousands of dollars worth of marijuana, crystal methamphetamine and firearms from a home in Jackson, S.C.

The bust took place when investigators searched a home on Bear Island Lane on Wednesday.

They found and took 30 marijuana plants, 18 grams of crystal methamphetamine, several firearms a vehicle used to move the drugs and equipment used to grow the plants.

The estimated value of the marijuana is about $3,000, and the crystal methamphetamine is about $2,200.

Dennis Ruff was charged with manufacturing marijuana.

Ronald Hartline was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of crystal methamphetamine.

Latitia B. Jarrett was charged with trafficking crystal methamphetamine and possession of Schedule IV (pills) controlled substances.

The bust was a joint effort between the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
