Two Linked to Copper Thefts

From Crime Team 12, Aiken County deputies have made two arrests in the case of several copper thefts.

Walter Jones of North Augusta is in jail. A series of car break-ins is linked to the theft of more than $30,000 worth of copper.

Jones was spotted by BAE System workers breaking into cars early Tuesday. He's also charged with having marijuana.

Adrian Smith is also linked to those thefts from an Aiken utility company and a construction company.
