OSHA will inspect hundreds of companies where flammable dust is present. The announcement was made by the safety agency's head today during a visit to the sugar refinery near Savannah where an explosion killed 12 workers and injured dozens more.

OSHA is looking at 30,000 companies that work with dust.

Right now there are eleven refinery workers in critical condition and one in serious condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta.

Given the time of night, and a weeked busy night approaching a deadly intersection.. no excuse for not backing of of pursuit. even if officer didn't hear orders from supervisors..just common sense. now someone is dead for a stupid traffic ticket violation...Richmond County is fully responsible for the death, along with the 19 yoa...Richmond county should take responsibility for any civil obligation to the family, and retrain their officers on rules of pursuit for minor traffic violations. Richmond County Sheriffs Dept. is a great law enforcement organization, but mistakes happen and has to be dealt with. Needs to stand up and admit this was a terrible mistake, and show the citizens what our Dept. stands for. Our Sheriff is a stand up person, and needs to continue as he always has. Thats why he is the Sheriff again. and hope will be another term.
