AUGUSTA, Ga-- A police chase in Richmond County has ended in an accident with at least one person dead.
The accident happened around 9:30 Saturday night at Old Savannah Road and Gordon Highway in Augusta.
Two cars were involved in the crash.
One person is confirmed dead. Witnesses say the victim was in the car that was not being chased. The driver running from a Richmond County deputy was taken from the sceneby ambulance, wearing handcuffs.
The chase started on Broad Street a little after 9:00 according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
