Suspicious fire makes for smoky ride home

AUGUSTA, Ga--- Monday's evening rush hour was filled with smoke for some drivers.

If you were driving along 15th street on your way home from work--- Monday night you may have noticed a lot of smoke and a lot of commotion.

Fire investigators on the scene say the suspicious fire started around six o'clock Monday evening at 1504 Verdery street near Wrightsboro Road in Augusta. It was an abandoned building behind a home.

Investigators say it appears someone set the fire because the building had no power.
