Augusta, Ga--

There are still 16 patients at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta from the February 7th explosion and fire at the Imperial Sugar Refinery in
Port Wentworth, Ga.

14 were in critical condition Friday afternoon, and two others were in serious condition.

Since last week, the patients have used nearly 500 units of blood, more than 300 units of plasma, and doctors have performed 170 surgical procedures.

There will be more surgeries to come, and more blood will be needed.
