Mother indicted for allegedly stabbing children

February 14, 2008

The young mother accused of stabbing her children to death in a convenience store bathroom faces several charges.

Deputies say Michelle Hawes stabbed her one-year old and three-year old to death in November.

Thursday a Richmond county grand jury indicted the 22-year old on six charges. Hawes faces 2 counts of malice murder, 2 counts of felony murder and 2 counts of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Richmond county investigators say Hawes stabbed her 2 children to death inside the restroom at gas station on Richmond hill road and Lumpkin road.

I don't feel sorry for this young lady. Everyone goes through things. We all know that Jesus did it for us. So what gives the right to take her kids life. I think they need to have taken pictures at the crime location and put them in her cell. There are alot of single mother who have a hard time. I think she just let the devil took over her life. She should have taken it to the lord for he knows what's best for her and her kids. Lord please watch over these babies. Amen!

I can only think that this child has some mental issue going on. I don't agree with her action because the action was terrible. I just hope and pray she make peace with herself and her God. I hope that she receive the help that she need. I believe this young lady may have cried out for help and no one listened until it was to late. May God be with her and her family.

I cannot understand how someone could do this to those children? She deserves the maximum for each count she faces. Noone should feel sorry for her. Those children did not deserve that pain she put them through.

This lady must have really been having some terrible mental health issues. She should have put the babies up for adoption if she did not want them or she should have never gotten pregnant. My God have mercy on her soul!
